Borage seed oil cold-pressed unpurified 100ml OLVITA

Unrefined borage oil is obtained by cold pressing borage seeds, which owes its name to the fact that its leaves have the smell and taste of cucumber. It is distinguished by a high content of unsaturated fatty acids: linoleic and gamma-linolenic acids, i.e.GLA (about 21-25%).

The oil also includes mineral salts (including silica), vit. C, tannins and flavonoids, saponins and trace elements such as magnesium, potassium, zinc and iron.

Borage oil has a diuretic effect. Supports cleansing the body of harmful metabolism products. It helps with damage to the mucous membranes of the mouth, esophagus, gastrointestinal tract. Supports the immune system. It also has a calming effect and also improves mood. Improves intellectual functions. It is also used in the menu of pets such as dogs and cats. It improves the condition of their hair and skin and fights inflammation.

Borage oil contains linoleic acid 34-40%,
oleic 14-18%,
tocopherols 1478mg / kg (Zadernowski et al. 2002),
sterols 290 mg / 100 of which ß-sitosterol 108.1 mg / 100g (Phillips et al. 2002) and trace amounts of carotenoids (about 23mg / kg).

Application:
Applied externally directly on the skin, it has anti-inflammatory and bactericidal, and moisturizing properties. Therefore, it is recommended for people with skin problems. Used on mature skin, it has care and regenerative effects. It is also used in the menu of dogs and cats. When added to food, it visibly improves the appearance and quality of the coat, and also improves the condition of the skin, reducing its possible inflammation.
