Carob is obtained as a result of drying and grinding of carob tree pods (Locust Pod). It is commonly called carob flour. The product is an excellent substitute for cocoa, chocolate. Carob is recommended in the diet of children, because unlike cocoa, it does not contain caffeine.

Usage:

Cocoa substitute (should be added by half less than cocoa due to naturally occurring sugars) and chocolate. Used for making cakes, cookies and preparing desserts. The powder should be introduced into the diet gradually.
