Zucchini or squash (Cucurbita pepo convar. Giromontiina Greb.) Is a variety of squash. Selected in Italy, where the name comes from the Italian word "zucchina", which can be translated as "little pumpkin", this plant has gained popularity in our country as "squash".
Zucchini is a very healthy and low-calorie vegetable. 100 g of squash contains only 16 calories. In addition, zucchini fruit is characterized by a high content of vitamins - A, vitamins B, C and K - and minerals - incl. potassium, magnesium and iron.
Young zucchini tastes best, then you can easily eat it with the skin, which after cooking becomes so soft and delicate that you will be happy to sink your teeth into it. Courgettes can be prepared in many ways - incl. grill, bake, fry, make pork chops, it is also one of the ingredients of the famous ratatouille (or ratatouille).
