Methylsulfonylmethane is an organic, easily absorbed sulfur compound that is essential for living organisms because it is found in almost every cell. It participates in a number of important processes - the production of enzymes, is a building block of cartilage tissue, participates in the synthesis of proteins (e.g. collagen and keratin). Sulfur also has free radical and anti-inflammatory properties, and supports cartilage tissue regeneration.

Methylsulfonylmethane can be found in some vegetables, fruits or dairy products, but it is extremely delicate and sensitive to heat treatment, so it is not easy to have a proper supply in the diet.
