Magnesium is a mineral with many important functions, including coordinates the work of muscles, is responsible for bone mineralization and the proper conduct of many processes in the body. Pure magnesium is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract into the bloodstream, therefore it is combined with a carrier that can improve its bioavailability. Such a substance are so-called chelates, i.e. compounds capable of joining with ions.
MyVita® contains chelate in the form of diglycinate, which provides strong, durable and stable binding and intact transport to the small intestine (it is not degraded in gastric acid). Small molecules of the compound allow quick and easy penetration through the intestinal walls and almost complete absorption into the bloodstream. Magnesium amino acid chelate easily decomposes in the circulatory system into two active components that make up the compound: glycine and magnesium, and then quickly reaches the cells in which their full health potential is fully utilized.
Studies show that magnesium in the form of chelate has higher bioavailability than its other forms. Chelates have higher yields even with lower magnesium ions compared to other forms.
