Seitan, also known as "Chinese meat" is a high-protein vegan product made from wheat gluten. It is mainly used as a meat substitute.

PREPARATION METHOD
1) Pour a glass of water (approx. 125 ml) into a bowl and pour all the seitan powder from the bag. Stir (preferably with a fork) so that no lumps form until the dough absorbs all the water.
2) Boil 1.5 liters of water in a medium-sized pan, add a pinch of salt and 3-4 tablespoons of soy sauce. Divide the finished dough and cut into pieces about the size of a walnut, lightly flatten each piece with your hand.
3) Toss into boiling water and cook covered for about 30 minutes on low heat.
