Sesame halva is a traditional dessert, characteristic of the cuisine of Iran, Turkey, as well as Israel, Arab countries and numerous regions of the Balkans and Eastern Europe. In the traditional version it consists of two components. The aromatic bio sesame halva of the Agros brand does not contain white sugar, and instead is sweetened with natural honey, rich in minerals. Sesame is a grain known for its high content of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, as well as niacin, i.e. vitamin B3 compounds and a wealth of amino acids. Sesame oil supplies macronutrients such as phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, potassium and sodium as well as iron, zinc, copper and manganese to the body. Good quality sesame halva has properties for the body in supporting the regulation of cholesterol levels, as well as improving the appearance of the skin. Above all, however, it is a nutritious snack that can successfully replace other sweets and processed products. It tastes great solo, as well as an addition to desserts or a small snack during the day.
