Sushi is one of the most characteristic and extremely popular dishes of Japanese cuisine. It consists of boiled rice seasoned with vinegar with the addition of eggs, fish, vegetables, mushrooms, seafood and nori seaweed.
To properly prepare sushi, first of all it is necessary to choose the right rice. The rice that is used to prepare this world-famous Japanese dish is slightly different from the traditionally cooked side dish. The grains of sushi rice are mostly short-grained, about 5 mm long and slightly round in shape. Thanks to the high content of amylopectin, the grains stick together easily after cooking, which makes the preparation of sushi easier.

A METHOD OF PREPARING
1. Rinse the rice in cold water several times until the poured water is not transparent.
2. Pour the rice with cold water in a ratio of 1:1 or 1:1.2 (rice: water), do not salt it!
3. Let the pot rest for 10 minutes.
4. Cover tightly with a lid, put on a gas and bring to a boil.
5. Reduce the heat and cook for about 10 minutes without removing the lid.
6. Remove from the heat and leave for 10-15 minutes, covered through the entire time. The lid must not be removed!
7. Put the hot rice into a wide, non-metallic bowl.
8. Add the rice mixture and use a wooden spatula to mix it - vigorously but gently so as not to break the grains.
9. Cool down the rice, for instance by fanning, to room temperature and then cover it with a damp cotton cloth to prevent the grains from drying out.

NOTE ON ALLERGENS
The plant also packs: sesame, almonds, products containing gluten, and various nuts. Despite the best efforts, the presence of these allergens in the product cannot be 100% ruled out.

Store in a dry and cool place in a tightly closed container.
