 Coconut palms from which coconut oil is made are grown in areas such as Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Malaysia and Sri Lanka. The oil is produced by being pressed from a coconut. Coconut oil mainly contains medium chain fatty acids such as lauric, caprylic, capric, myristic and others. It is a very stable and universal oil, which is why it has gained so much popularity. In addition, it has bactericidal, antioxidant properties and contains vitamins and minerals.
